here goes! just a little thing i came up with I waited up all night, but they were finally home! My parents returned from their jobs! "So mommy, i know you and daddy have been saving up for the chicken, so maybe..." We are a poor family. My parents work two jobs and get home around 11 o'clock. We save up every month for a chicken! A whole chicken! Can you believe that? "Um, about that" My mom looked worried. "Sam, I'm afraid there's no chicken this month" i started to pout. "N-n-no ch-ch-chicken?" I started to tear. "Look, buddy, the economy is in a bad state, and your mother and I didn't get paid as much as usual. So I'm afriad, no chicken this month" "I wait all month for the chicken! It was the only thing i looked foward to! How dare you, you-you terrible parents!" i ran up to my room. How could they do this to me? I heard a knock on the door. "Buddy, can I come in?" Without an answer, he just let himself in. "You're mother and i devote our lives to you, and i want you to know that." I didn't want to hear it. "Every penny we make is for you. Now I know we aren't rich, but we have a home, we have clothes on our backs, and we have food to eat." I was tired and had to end the discussion. "If you have no chicken, then get out!" He walked out, I could here him choking up. I laid down on my bed and started to cry. Why my, g-d, why me? this is just an exert from the real one. Please dont be mean! the story is about sam, who lived a hard life, so he thinks. Although he only has a mom, whom he never gets to see, his parents devote their lifes to him and every hardworked penny goes to him. He is just upset because he doesnt get what the kids at school have. But one day when he is on a plane to go visit his grandparents in California (he lives in New York), it crashes, and he is alone in the planes of Wyoming where he is forced to work and provide for himself. He realizes to appreciate his life at home when he is rescued in the end. p.s, im 12, so please, no haarsh comments. you know what, forget the chicken! I was just trying to get the point across that he doesn;t appreciate all that his parents do for him. So when he gets stranded in wyoming, he realizes how much his parents do for him when he has to provide for HIMSELF. and they are not really THAT poor.
